Mortals

Mere mortals,
That's what we are.
No control whatsoever
On the minutest detail
Of our whole complex life.

Plans we make,
Crushed to meaningless dust
Without the Divine touch.
No matter how well laid out;
The tiniest pea of plans.

So we pray,
And pray some more,
And then again we pray.
Never wavering in the belief;
We will rise on His strength.

So I'm a dragon

According to the Chinese Calendar, I was born in the year of the Dragon, i.e., 1988. They're suppose to have a lot of energy; I think it kinda explains why I never run out of battery even after a hard/busy day, not that I suddenly started believing in the Calendar!

I sank

I never thought I would sink so low as to even doubt my faith in God cause I never ever had any chink in my armour until now. Although I'm alright now, I despise myself on how weak I was the past week. I knew all I had to do was pray and believe; I did pray but I didn't believe...damn me! So I consequently suffered a lot of worries and traumatic surprises by way of things not going as I had planned/anticipated. I'm telling you: I 'did not' deserve any goodwill whatsoever from the Man up there with my shaky ground! Hard to believe I'm writing this with my faith intact now.

super busy

Been a long time since I've been online; my net crashed. It was a nightmare not being able to check my facebook page, misual.com, e-newspapers, blog updates, e-mail, skype, etc. every morning with my usual cup of black coffee.

Christmas and New Year, gone without any new posts here...I felt kinda useless. On the bright side, I had a good time with my family and friends this holiday season. And for the cherry-on-top, my boyfriend was a charm (although I'm still wondering when I'm gonna get my Christmas gift :-/ )

A day after new year and BAM! I got super busy with my University, Loan and Visa applications. I prayed a lot and I'm still praying a lot. I eventually confirmed my admission at Sheffield Hallam University at Sheffield, England for a master's course in International Business Management. Now my loan's still pending and it's a total headache. I'll be going to Kolkata on Monday (10th Jan, 2011) for my Visa Interview...wish me luck!
