Sheffield, UK
I took the Emirates flight from Kolkata to Manchester via Dubai (great duty-free shops btw). About an hour from Manchester by cab, I reached Sheffield. I have to learn how to think in pounds so as to adjust to this life; not convert everything to Rupees all the time. The weather is chilly; can’t feel my nose most of the time! I need gloves…big warm gloves. I get lost most of the time on campus but I’m hoping I’ll find ‘my way’ soon. I miss my family and the security, but I know I gotta stay here to mature. I miss my boyfriend and the comfort, but I believe this will help us grow stronger. God is and continues to be with me.
